On 19th September 2003, Mercy Relief was officially launched as an independent charitable non-governmental humanitarian organisation by Singapore´s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Mercy Relief was conferred the Institute of Public Character (IPC) status as on 1 December 2003.
